Known issues in Cache Implementation

Issue 1: FPC (Page Cache) and Block Cache (Block HTML) not working together

Status: Unresolved: A Ticket with Magento support has been filed on this and as of this writing the issue has still not been resolved. FPC [Page Cache] should be disabled, For Block level Cache to work. Both do not work together.

Issue 2: Issue with clearing catalog category cache If the cache for a catalog search block RHS (LAYERED NAV) block is deleted then it is observed that its is not seen to use the regenerated cache for the Layered navigation again, hence resulting in no Layered navigation being displayed after the cache clear.

Status: Unresolved: but workaround found.

Workaround Implemented:

– If both the RHS and Catalog Search Main content cache are deleted together (probable case) the regenerated cache is used as expected and the RHS appears correctly.

Issue 3: Static CMS Block page caching is not working.

Status: As of writing this requirement was removed as static blocks were changed regularly, but this has been noted as this was not working before.
